String Auditions
Spring 2009

Entrance into the School of Music & Scholarship Consideration Auditions for 2009-2010 School Year

Students must audition to be accepted into the music major/minor degree program.

1. Go to http://www.cal.nau.edu/music/auditions.asp and follow the three-step application process.
2. Schedule an audition time by contacting the NAU Orchestra Office at (928) 523-3413 or email Orchestra @ nau.edu. For full scholarship consideration, audition on or before March 7, 2009.
3. Audition requirements: 2 contrasting pieces, all 3-octave scales.
4. Please contact your appropriate studio professor (violin,viola,cello,bass).

Note: Official audition dates for admission to the 2008-2009 academic year already have passed. Special arrangements for late auditions may be made by contacting individual studio professors

• String Audition Dates- (NAU, Flagstaff, AZ)
  • January 16 and 17, 2009, Friday and Saturday
  • February 13 and 14, 2009, Friday and Saturday
  • February 27 and 28, 2009, Friday and Saturday, in Phoenix, AZ
  • March 7, 2009, Saturday
  
  
  • Second Round Auditions: April 4, 2009, Saturday
    Note: Scholarship consideration cannot be guaranteed for those who wait until April 4 to audition.
