String Auditions

Academic School Year 2009-2010

Students must audition to be accepted into the NAU School of Music major/minor degree program and to be considered for scholarship opportunities.

1. Complete the three-step application process
2. Select an available auditon date/time
3. Schedule an audition by email to Orchestra@nau.edu or call (928) 523-3413
4. Audition requirements: 2 contrasting pieces, all 3-octave scales
5. Contact your instrument studio professor for audition materials and requirements: Select Your Studio Violin Viola Cello Bass

Scholarship Opportunies

Instrumental Scholarships

The Instrumental Program at NAU has a number of scholarships established to assist students who are enrolled as intrumental music education/performance majors, bachelor of arts majors, or instrumental music minors. These scholarships are awarded based on student's entrance auditions. For full scholarship consideration, students must audition on or before March 1, 2009.
